2/14/2026 Happy St. Valentine's day! My boyfriend made us really delicious fondue. He used 2024 Pinot Gris of Rascal, a wine that donates to doggy shelters (: with gouda, and seasoned it himself. We ate that with loaf bread, carrots, sliced apples, and sweet gherkins. Then he made a broth and boiled shrimps in it, and whipped up a cocktail sauce from scratch. Did you know that cocktail sauce is ketchup and horseradish? Plus some other stuff. I had no idea. No wonder I like it so much. For dessert we dipped strawberrys, banans, chocolate pretzels, marshmallows, and Tate's chocolate chip cookies (the best!!!) into dark chocolate and sour cream. He didn't really like the stuff in the sour cream that I made him try it, but I just love to dip sweets in it. And I start to see why people like to do "pairings" with wine, they went really good together, tho I don't drink much I really liked it. I love my boyfriend so so much, I am so honoured and delighted that he put so much effort into such a wonderful meal. We just spent all evening together, I read aloud to him as he cooked. It was really romantic and beautiful. Our new ritual of one of us reading aloud while the other cooks, is the highlight of my day. ANd he is the highlight of my life.

2/8/2026 I'm doing some digital decluttering, but here's a recipe I'd like to keep in case Pinterest ever shuts down. I've tried it, it's incredibly addicting! One of my favourite sweets.
Dunkaroo Dessert Dip
1. Empty one full box of Funfetti dip into a large bowl. [Star's note: may want to nuke that for a bit since it's raw flour.]
2. Mix in one full tub of Cool Whip.
3. Add 4 units of Vanilla Snack Pack pudding and stir until incorporated. [I used only 2 units. Could also use the sugar free kind, I find those have an even more delightful texture, and plus would help control the sweetness.]
4. Refrigerate for a couple of hours, and serve with biscuits or cookies such as Teddy Grahams. [I like it with regular graham crackers, but I wanna try it with Oreos next!]
Though the baking mix already contains sprinkles, I shall like to try adding extra rainbow sprinkles sometime. There's plenty of variations you could make here! Maybe I'll do some for St. Valentine's day.
